Stingray Terms of Service & Refund / Cancellation PolicyEffective date: 17.10.2025Last updated: 17.10.2025This Agreement (“Agreement”) is between you (“User”, “you”, “your”) and Stingray Selling Products & Services by Automatic Vending Machines CO. L.L.C S.O.C (“Stingray”, “we”, “us”, “our”), licensed under Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (Trade License No. 1490290), and governs your use of our services, including the mobile app, website, powerbank rental stations, POS terminals, and any related features (collectively, the “Service”).
By using or continuing to use the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement and our
Privacy Policy.
1. Definitions• Powerbank: portable battery device that you rent from Stingray stations.
• Rental Period: time between the moment the Powerbank is unlocked for usage and the moment it is returned.
• Deposit: an amount temporarily authorized on your payment method until you return the Powerbank.
• Merchant of Record: Stingray, the entity responsible for processing payments and refunds.
• Late Return / Non-return Fee: additional charge if the Powerbank is not returned in time or at all.
2. Eligibility & Account RegistrationYou must be at least 18 years old (or have legal capacity under your jurisdiction) to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering (name, email, phone, payment method). You are responsible for maintaining security of your account and password.
3. Payment Terms & Charges• Rental rates vary by location and time and are displayed when you scan the QR code via the mobile app or at the screen of station.
• A deposit may be pre-authorized on your payment method and will be released upon successful return of the Powerbank.
• If the Powerbank is not returned, daily fees may apply until the total equals the Powerbank’s purchase price.
• All transactions are processed in UAE Dirhams (AED). Prices are final and inclusive of all applicable charges. VAT is not applicable unless Stingray becomes VAT-registered under UAE law.
• Cardholder data is not stored by Stingray. Payments are processed through licensed payment gateways in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
4. Rental, Return & Usage Rules• You may rent a Powerbank via the Stingray mobile app or supported POS terminal.
• Use during the Rental Period is at your own risk.
• Powerbanks must be returned to any active Stingray station.
• Late or non-return may result in additional charges or full purchase value being applied.
• Deposits, if applicable, are automatically released upon return.
• Powerbanks must not be tampered with or misused.
5. Refund, Cancellation & DisputesRefunds are available in the following cases:
• Double charges, failed transactions, or technical errors.
• Defective or malfunctioning equipment.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within up to 14 business days, depending on the bank.
Once the Powerbank has been unlocked, no refund will be granted unless required by UAE law.
6. Liability & Limitation of LiabilityStingray is not responsible for any damage to your personal device resulting from the use or misuse of the Powerbank. This limitation of liability does not affect any consumer rights granted under UAE law.
7. Data & PrivacyOur Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of personal data. You consent to data processing necessary for rental, payment, fraud prevention, and customer communication.
8. Governing Law & JurisdictionThis Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. All disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
9. Modifications to the AgreementWe may update or modify these Terms from time to time.
10. LanguageThis Agreement is available in English.
